Introduction

Cablefied is an elegant, handcrafted application to help you design and share custom sleeved PC cables and power supply pinouts. Cablefied is built on a rather simple web configuration with no cookies for tracking, third-party advertising, or individual targeting. Any information Cablefied collects will be from you willingly sending in a message, creating an account, copying or sharing cables and pinouts, or information from your session displayed on our server logs. Information provided by you

You may provide information to Cablefied that assists your experience such as creating an account, sending a message, receiving notifications about a provided service, or using the Cablefied tools and resources in general.

• Creating an account and entering an email, name, username, or other personally identifiable information.
• Sending in a message or signing up for a mailing list may collect personal information such as your name, email, IP address, or other provided information.
• User uploaded content such as a username to display on your account or shared cable sets.
• Information from a copied, or shared, cable set or power supply pinout.

Information automatically collected

Cablefied uses a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytical service. While data including your IP address, geographical location, browser name and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, and navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency, and pattern of your visit may be collected, all details collected from this analytical service are anonymized and non-reversibly hashed for your benefit.

In addition to this service, Cablefied uses Cloudflare web analytics, which is a privacy friendly web analytics that collects similar information, to help monitor basic web usage.

Cookie usage

Cablefied does not use cookies for third-party tracking, advertising methods, or individual targeting. A single cookie is used to maintain a user session if an account is created, and cookies from Cloudflare may be used to detect bots or validate form submissions.

How your data is used

• To provide you with any information or services you requested or agreed to receive such as a mailing list, account information, or copied and shared cable sets or pinouts.

Retention of data

For example, if Cablefied is required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Cablefied will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
